Netanyahu's characterReader comment on item: Did Binyamin Netanyahu Predict 9/11? Submitted by Fay Voshell (United States), Mar 10, 2009 at 10:19 Dr. Pipes, At the risk of offending you, may I say I believe you may be nitpicking--that "small" does not necessarily equate a "troubling" indication of bad character. How many of us have painted with a broad brush only to narrow the context later? Memory does not always serve well. Certainly I have had similar lapses of memory and have not recollected with pristine exactitude. Perhpas if Mr. Netanyahu had checked what he wrote, he may have worded things differently. Regardless, he did predict more of the same sort of actions that took place in 1993. But more importantly, there is obviously more to your concerns than Netanyahu's "small but troubling" lapse of accurate memory. What else, in order of importance, troubles you about Netanyahu? Fay Voshell Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: "What else, in order of importance, troubles you about Netanyahu?" Fair enough question: This blog is in effect an appendix to my article of two days later, "Netanyahu as Prime Minister - Déjà Vu?" which gives specifics about what troubles me concerning the prime-minister designate.
