Why do muslims so desperately want to control us?

Why do muslims so desperately want to control us? I wish one of them could explain this to me, they have made it clear they wish this, so denial of that fact is pointless at this point. I feel as those there is some sort of mental impairment that causes them to hate, something in their society or belief system that is clearly a strong proponent of bigotry towards those who are not of the same belief system.
