Reader comment on item: Rushdie Fails to Move the Zealots

Submitted by imdad ali (Pakistan), Apr 16, 2008 at 01:22

Simply, it is a sheer irony to give such mammoth reverence to a person who sacrilege the religious feelings of Muslims. He followed Dryden who did not spare his friends and foes. But literary doyens objects on his personal satire and advised him to not distort facts and figure, which are universally endorsed.

Rushdiee was enticed by western religious conspirators to compose books to test nerve of Muslims. He trampled all literary rules and regulations and projected sacred personality which not only sacrilege feelings of Muslims but also other revealed religious too. His book cannot be called books of literature because he flagrantly distorted facts and figures.

His personal criticism regarding most distinguished personality of universe Muhammad peace be upon him is saturated with bias and prejudice. He did not criticize his polices which model for humanity. After book and consequently edict of spiritual leader forced him to live in secret place to find safety. If he was true in his mission, he should have faced people to justify his stand. But he preferred and pretends to embrace Islam. For hypocrites, hell is reserved. He may pass his remaining life in serenity and peace but eternal damnation is his fate, it is motto of every sacred religion.

He may please western religious conspirators by composing more books, but such energies will not reduce the status of holy prophet.
