Building madrassas violates the First Amendment Lamont v WoodsReader comment on item: The U.S. Government Builds Mosques and Madrassahs Submitted by Brian (United States), Mar 6, 2008 at 10:02 For anyone interested I just posted an article on my blog to explain in a little more detail why these building projects are against the First amendment. There is legal precedent to have these projects declared in violation of the Constitution. The Lamont case, if used as precedent, could stop a great many of these type projects going on around the world. It is time someone filed a lawsuit. No particular qualifications needed since any U.S. taxpaying citizen can file suit in Establishment Clause cases.
