Sorry Dr Pipes-I agree with your analyses in 99.99999% of cases. Here I dont .

From my perception as someone living OUTSIDE Israel,I could never believe any of those people interviewed in your article.They talk like that as a figure of speech.They hate Israel while extracting their Jizyah .The Arabs in Israel to my mind would love a time to come when they would outnumber the Jewsand be able to see the back of the Jews!!.As Muslims, they would never willingly live in peace with Jews.Note the increasing militancy even of Israeli Young Arab Community.Yes Arabs love the Health benefits,the Insurance,the Pensions .However,they dont love the Jews or Israel as a Jewish State.Forget about it

Even in the War of 2006 Israeli ,Arabs killed by Hezballah fire comprised about 42% 0f Israeli dead civilians.They still said they regarded those killed as Shahids and expressed understanding of Hezballahs point of view in murdering Israelis- themselves included.
