An American Arabic Textbook TooReader comment on item: Dreaming of Al-Andalus Submitted by Alex (United States), Jan 8, 2008 at 15:48 I am using a textbook entitled, Ahlan wa Sahlan, to learn first-year Arabic, and this book also mentions "Al-Andalus." What's more, the book is written by a Syrian Christian named Mahdi Alosh ("Bilad al-Shem" is also mentioned repeatedly, while Israel is left out), who directed international studies at West Point. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Comment on this item
