The Enemy Within

Reader comment on item: [Middle East Studies:] Wasted Money

Submitted by Jim O'Brien (United States), Jun 25, 2003 at 09:35

Congress should turn off the money spigot to "the enemy within" - universities that openly oppose their own government. Columbia is a prime example, with one professor who publicly expressed his wish that thousands of American troops would die in combat, and another who openly considers our system of government to be his enemy. Yet the Columbia administration gladly retains such individuals. Why? Because the Columbia administration clearly detests the superb Bush Administration. It would be more comfortable with Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, bin Laden, Saddam Hussein...... anything but the United States of America. (I speak with first hand knowledge, since I graduated from Columbia College.)
