Slander indeed - although for a blog, I would suggest the proper term is "libel." If that seems too specific, try "defamation."

Mr. Pipes,

you insist that you have not slandered Mahmoud Khatib, yet you say "Islamist paintball" as if the outing itself were probably a terrorist training exercise of some kind, which implies that Mahmoud is a terrorist ringleader. I would indeed call this the sort of language libel (i.e., "harmful speech published in a fixed medium") as it defames the character of Mr. Khatib by implication, as well as that of every member of the MSA of Embry-Riddle. ...

If you educated yourself, Mr. McIntee, before mouthing off, you would understand that "Islamist" concerns support for an ideology and that it is not about terrorism.
