Reader comment on item: War as Social Work?

Submitted by Jacob B. Padgug, Ed.D. (United States), May 6, 2003 at 12:58

Thank you. It is refreshing to know that there are some of us whose perspective is not distorted by peripheral concerns. Yes, we should do whatever we can to assist the Iraqis in rehabilitating their country and their society --- though it's not clear at this point if many of them are set to do that, or if they prefer to blame us for their problems. Our primary concern must be our own security and future and, of course, the security and future of our friends and allies. And thank you also for your steadfast support of Israel in that democracy's struggle to seek survival and peace.
