Peter Arnett's freedom to speak

What ever happened to freedom of speech? Arnett just said what everyone else has said but he said it on Iraqi TV. What is the difference. Shame on NBC for not protecting his freedom of speech. Is it only the "embedded" reporters who have the right to speak?
