Reader comment on item: President Bush to Address Future of Iraq

Submitted by Eugene Hardy (Canada), Dec 7, 2006 at 23:25

In 1974, while doing research on international corporations in the library of the Asia Development Bank in Manila, Philippines, I found a cartoon of a board of corporation oficers pledging allegiance. There was no flag present. The caption read, "We pledge allegiance to the country that gives us the best deal." Those best deals are not doing the middle class a good deal. They are eliminating the middle class as a competive political power with in the country.

Another subject: How much more in taxes has the government taken in because of higher gas prises, and who really is behind the gas hikes? Eugene Hardy
