Kadima will garner the most votes in the foreseeable future

Reader comment on item: The Future of Kadima

Submitted by Mark James (United States), Nov 21, 2006 at 17:11

Pipes thinks that Kadima won't last, but I disagree. In the foreseeable future, the Israeli voters will continue to see centrist politicians as the best choice rather than the right or left. That's because they are disenchanted with both the hardliners and the peace campers. Since Kadima will garner the most votes and will occupy the political center of Israel, it will be the ruling party that forms coalition govts drawing from the left and right.
