Reader comment on item: Palestinian Anarchy Continues under Hamas

BS"D

It's interesting that the excerpts of Hamad's words I have from Jerusalem Post contains quotes portions that aren't available on the other websites. This missing information is extremely important when considering how to interpret Hamad's words. I find it very disturbing that most commentators chose not to include these words, because they effectively put the lie to speculation that Hamad may be taking an important step in the direction of needed reform, and civilized behavior. Please consider the following, and the deconstruction that I supply.

"Hamad admitted that the Palestinians have failed in developing the Gaza Strip following the Israeli withdrawal and in imposing law and order. He said about 500 Palestinians have been killed and 3,000 [ are these numbers correct, or vastly overstated? ] wounded since the Israeli pullout, in addition to the destruction of much of the infrastructure in the area.

By comparison, he said, only three or four Israelis have been killed by the rockets fired from the Gaza Strip over the same period.

'Some will argue that it's not a matter of profit or loss, but that this has an accumulating effect' [ I.e. as long as they are killing Jews, their casualties are immaterial? ] he said. 'This may be true. [ Does his obvious explicit approval of that attitude worry no one but me? ] But isn't there a possibility of decreasing the number of casualties [ = cutting their own losses. ] and increasing our gains [ = KILLING MORE JEWS IN PROPORTION TO THEIR LOSSES!!! ] by using our brains and making the proper calculations [ = it's the tactics, stupid... ] away from demagogic statements [ ...not JUST the ideology. ] '?"

I've said a whole lot more on other web sites, but this is sufficient to show that Hamad is just another demon, and his "introspection" is calculated to refocus Arab anger outward. It has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with making themselves into some semblance of a civilized society. They have no conception of what that means.

So, why are so many conservative bloggers and news comentators, who's sanity I have never doubted before, grasping at the straw dangled before them by some of the vilest people on the planet?

That crucial portion isn't here, or here, or here, or here [and they even reference the jpost article], or here [also linked to the jpost article], ...

I find that far more disturbing than his words, which no longer surprise me at all.
