Americans are not allowed to know that Moshe Katsav, an Iranian Jew, is a friend of ex-President Khatami of Iran, that they were college class mates back in Iran and that both were students exports of democracy. In fact Khattami's doctorate was on de Tocqueville's America.

Moshe Katsav was the interlocutor between Khatami and Clinton in 1999 and more than anyone else tried to bridge the gap twixt the two countries. ...
