Reader comment on item: American Law Enforcement Really Does Profile Muslims – The Siraj Case
in response to reader comment: Profiling

Submitted by Thomas Earl Cannady (United States), Jul 2, 2006 at 13:38

Mr Pipes thank you for your reply. I read your article on profiling so I guess I believe their are times when profiling is appropriate. I have a mixed race son who does not look African American and he gets a great deal of questions as to why he looks non African American since his father is African American(I have never met my biological father so there is a chance I am part white). I am working to make America a place where all law abiding citizens and guess persons can live and be safe. I do not have any friends who are muslim or are Arabs so I cannot say that I like or dislike them but I do support some of what Minister Frarakkan does to help people but since I am United Methodist(one of the few non whites ones) he may not want my support or opinions. I do not think he supports terrorism or sends money to organizations that support terrorism but he is one muslim that I would have at my dinner table (or and maybe Cat Stevens).

Thank you for taking the time to hear what I have to say.
