Reader comment on item: When Arab Politicians' Shouts and Whispers Contradict

Submitted by Bryan Taplits (United States), Dec 4, 2022 at 13:07

Dr. Pipes,

How do you reconcile the Abraham Accords with your proposition? As I understand it (from Jared Kushner's Breaking History book), all the Arab signers to the Ab.Accords, spoke to their people as if Israel were anathema. However, and this is how Kushner was able to achieve the Accords, to Kushner they were much more realistic.

This seems to be the polar opposite of what you posit.

Having said this, I just want you to know, I enjoy and read all of your Emails. Many make me think of things I hadn't even thought of. It's like the Middle Eastern air has been made pristine, ie more understandable. I am grateful for your identifying issues that I had overlooked-and so hadn't even considered.
