Continuing the Contemplation that Peace Remains Illusive as Long as the Wrong Objectives are Sought

in response to reader comment: Variable Strategies for Multiple Threats - Syria Then - Iranian Islamic Regime Now

Rereading this post and taking into consideration a number of other observations from recent history of why Israel cannot seem to catch its breath in being prepared to meet any comers in the field of multiple threat conditions, it is amazing that the ultimate showdown has not happed yet: and maybe not so amazing.
As is intimated, the destruction of the Syrian nuclear threat was, by any reasonable determination, a necessary response to an evil intention. And in the current threat environment, similar contemplations are in the making if it cannot be determined that the Iranian Islamic Regime will not relent in its obsession to destroy Israel if and when it thinks there is the possibility it can be done with impunity and minimal consequences.
Therein lays the rub: who is considering that the consequences of a move towards Israel are acceptable?
Certainly not those who are in charge in Israel; and of teh UNited States, where disdain for ISrael was barely veiled by the 44th and the 46th American Adminstrative Chief Executive and their current International Green Deal Rep who as much as threatened Israel with international consequences of they did not get along with others.
Peace will reamain illusive as long as the variable contenders of power over the world regimes still think peace is not worth achieving if they do not have the power they desire. Not in the US; EU; in Israel; and definitely no where hovering around the Middle East where all these already mentioned are targeted by everyone else wanting their own piece of global dominance at the cost of everyone one else.
The cost? How many billions have been spent for the few Kilos of military grade uranium now stockpiled; not merely in the Iranian Islamic vaults; but consider this as the gobal problem that it is.
