Why Islamism Will Not Go Away Quietly

Reader comment on item: Islamism and the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict: Predictions

Islam suffers as all religions do, from limited mortal thinking that attempts to model religion in the human frame of thinking that best suites the imagination of the followers (or the predominant thinker of a specific group that incites others seeking guidance in ignorance) in order to provide some sense of order in the complex scheme of things called life. Mortality scares; religion gives us reasons why. Death is in the shadows and religion is set up as a way to find the light of knowledge, but usually comes up short for not really knowing the true source of life.
Each religious endeavor has its shortcomings; it is written all have sinned and come short of the knowledge of God. So, where is the hope of religion that is unfulfilled and the leaders have limited ideas as to where to take the followers? So, in the topic range of this forum, where is the answer so many debate about but never seem to come to terms sufficient to satisfy the specific membership? If Islam is plagued with so much divisiveness, does Islamism provide the religious alternative that fulfills the most innate needs; or is it religion as much as any other 'supernatural' pursuit that remains unfulfilled and spiritual frustration is the disasterous result.
Islam is the belief system; but is Islamism the religion? It is all susceptible to interpretation; then whose rules are to be followed in order for the belief system to function in the way intended. Which begs the question; who is Islam's true author and as is seen in this forum, which variant is the real system and which is false?
Until that is resolved, where is the peace?
And people think Christianity is hard to follow. Actually, which is harder, precepts of men; or God? Whose is the best concept to follow? Which follows the light of Truth into eternity and death cannot follow? Who is the author of that Truth?
