Reader comment on item: Prisoner of the Infidels

That book is a real page turner. I love a good adventure story and that was a great one. Despite all the tales of treachery and cruelty, there really was a sort of chivalrous pact when it came to prisoner exchanges between the Hapsburgs and the Ottomans; warfare has become much more barbaric, to say nothing about terrorism. The author is a very gifted and inspiring person and has many sharp insights into human nature and man's fate. I reviewed the kindle version on Amazon. Five stars.
