World-Wide Atheism Not Unexpected - Why Islam is Not Exempt

Reader comment on item: Atheism among Muslims Is "Spreading Like Wildfire"

Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Sep 20, 2021 at 14:14

Dr. Pipes' observation:
"Atheism among Muslim-born populations historically has been of minor importance and it appeared especially negligible during the surge of Islamism over the past half-century."
Observations of the increase of atheism for a couple of centuries have been noticed, but for differing reasons of anti-religionist sympathies in a world that is in a full swing rejectionism of the 'supernatural' aspects of a Biblically based belief system, is it really all that remarkable that of most of the replacement theologies that attack Judaic and Christian based belief systems are themselves subjected to a falling away of anything religious, let alone the ones that call for a return to the Eternal Sovereign, the Holy One of Israel?
