Dr. Pipes' Treatise on Modern Islam Demonstrates Its Unnerving Tenacity - Again

If there is one thing observing issues the MEF addresses from century to century demonstrates, it is this:
if one asks, will it ever go away? The answer, for the duration, is: never. Why(?); because in spite of the protestations to an extreme and highly sensitive protestation to the contrary, Islam is not secular and cannot be argued for efficacy in determining governance in any civil society. Afghanistan is yet another example of how intransigent it was historically and once again, Western culture has miscalculated and will pay dearly for doing so.
