Perceptions Can Be Deceiving - Who Does the Deceiving

Reader comment on item: Who Won, Israel or Hamas?
in response to reader comment: The inconcistancy of Dr Pipes.

The situation in Israel is as confusing as it has ever been; and really, the only place to discern where it is all going is by going to the guide book of all things Middle East, the Tanakh of the ancient Israeli's.
Oh, sure, bring up the religious thing; again?
Seriously, it is the only place, in spite of those that say the Quran has the clue; but the Quran did not predict the return of Israel to nation state, now did it?
Dr. Pipes cannot be called inconsistent for the inconsistencies of the things of the Middle East. If nothing else, his decades of documentation provides a panorama of many things that have helped shape the situation the Middle East finds itself, and the interfering world, apart of. Opinions may vary, but of those, Dr. Pipes is not viewed here as one.
