Terrorism is far from being stopped: Islamic State recruiter arrives Melbourne facing terrorism charges

Reader comment on item: Melbourne's Petite, Shy, Honors-Student Jihadi

Submitted by A very concerned reader (Australia), May 9, 2021 at 03:16

Dear Dr Pipes,

I just came to know this new and thought that I needed to inform you about it:

https://www.9news.com.au/national/accused-islamic-state-supporter-arrives-in-australia-from-turkey/a3a71849-62dc-45fe-9852-6d7ffdd50e24

I didn't know where to post it, but this article of yours seemed appropriate to me.

This if far from being stopped, Dr Pipes. But I'm very glad to know that at least, Mr Mohamed Zuhbi couldn't make it.

It seems that Mr Zuhbi was trying to get his spot in jannah by recruiting jihadists and he will face charges that include financing terrorists organisation by giving them support and resources as well as engaging in what the journalist refers as "a hostile activity in a foreign state".

He is only 30, Dr Pipes. Muslims of his same age I met used to talk passionately about Islam and their dream of a world which is ruled by Islam. This is tragic. That's why I am posting here.
