Reader comment on item: The Israel Lobby Is Good for America

>>These arguments, however, may not hold in the future, for utility and costlessness could disappear. As liberals distance themselves from the Jewish state, an eventual President Kamala Harris might reject what Israel has to offer and find that close relations with Jerusalem impede initiatives toward Iran.

Anticipating such a shift, I propose seeing the Israel lobby in an entirely different way, showcasing its domestic role versus foreign influence.<<
It is amazing how from the IVP idea -- which I always supported or even admired -- you came around, firstly trashing the president who, with his peace plan, adopted the said idea and then you suggest for Israel's lobby to be anything but Israel's. Looking the other way regarding the Iranian 'deal' is no less than pushing Israel under the bus. Are you ascribing to the idea that if you can't win them, join them?
PS
By turning their back to Trump's base the Republicans are abandoning the field to the pseudo-liberal so called democratic party.
