The Greater Loss of De-platforming Globally

Reader comment on item: De-platforming in Daily Life

In other responses to the de-platforming of antipathetic attitudes across the entire spectrum, we are appearing to focus on more specific circumstances; and in doing so, are losing sight of the more global consequences of catastrophic proportions, and allowing a much larger situation run away with a much more compelling diversion of reality. Think it not so? Then, when, in past times of American jurisprudence where a tragic miscarriage of law and order that resulted in the unlawful death of a citizen, did the uproar and upheaval of global recriminations occur to the level being witnessed now?
This is a de-platforming of an insidious level that places American freedoms in a spotlight that should not be a concern to a world citizenry, but of the need for introspection by AMERICAN citizens; for it was the blood of American patriotism that guaranteed American liberty in the law, something of which citizen Floyd was deprived. America is moving in a direction this citizen was wary of decades ago, but in hopeful consideration of a better reality, regretfully, its destination is now more easily seen: it is not where any sane person would desire it to be. The rest of the world's nations have even less to hope for under the circumstances.
The unseen enemy is taking all that would embrace the lawlessness being poured out and castigating those that would interfere by calling for calm and reasoned assurances that a world desperately needing some salvation, to places and alternatives outcomes that no one in their right mind would go. Why?
That is a question the leaders of the unrest do not want you to answer; hence the de-legitimization and de-platforming, in the formerly land of the free and the home of the brave. Hear the laughter and the glee of those places that are America's sworn enemies, in Russia, Iran, China, elsewhere, and here in America. Think it not so? COVID-19 is not the only thing Americans are being told to fear.
