Anderson and Africa

Reader comment on item: Should Yasser Arafat Go?

Submitted by Jewel Glatzer (United States), Aug 3, 2005 at 12:51

II do believe a good topic though I believe any comments on Arafat are slightly outdated, Since he is dead at least 6 months.

I believe since Anderson is doing such a good job in Africa we should concentrate on that area.

In fact instead of spending billions on the space program that is going nowhere we shoud concentrate our monies on building an Africa that people can more than exist in. How about getting rid of the plagues like locusts. How about growing product in good cultivated soil that people can farm and eat.

How about bringing these poor people into the 21st century and teaching them how to live, eat and work. These areas can be cultivated if money was spent on the right things.Space is like a toy, what good did it do to go into outer space so far?
