You are correct, Tovey: America's problems are systemic -- and so are the world's, for that matter. Capitalism is driven by greed and fear, presumably guided by an "invisible hand" that rewards this selfish behavior for the good of all. That is nonsense. The end of capitalism is monopoly, tyranny, inequality and oppression -- and even so, it appears to be the most successful model on the planet for a peaceable life. Peaceable or not, its day has come, and great will be the fall of it. The world's other systems have their own systemic problems; and they will also fall.

I expect Messiah to return and fix things, and am not ashamed to say so.
