Dear Dr Pipes,

Debanjan Banerjee from India emphatically states that current immigration into Europe from Syria is a result of western wars in Iraq, Libya, and Syria. I have heard about subdued people running from one place to another but I have never heard about subdued people running into the lands of the exploiters.

What is the missing piece here? Will Debanjan explain? Our planet would have been a different place if Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and Zorostrians of ancient Afghanistan, India, Mesopotamia, and Persia had the freedom to become refugees in ancient Arabia in the last 14 or so centuries.

What am I missing here?
