Dear Dr. Pipes,
I have been following your articles for many years, in addition to reading many of your learned volumes.
My own personal conclusions are as follows:

a] moderate Islam does and will not, at least for the foreseeable future, exist

b] I doubt very much if most Muslims are interested in dialogue with the West

c] most Western politicians and policy makers have little first hand knowledge or even scholarly reading knowledge of the Muslim world, and

d] unless this situation is rectified, and the image of the Arab in flowing robes sailing across the desert sands on his camel is eliminated as a nineteenth century phantasy, Western Civilization is in for a catastrophic shock in the not too distant future.
