Reader comment on item: CAIR's Hate Crimes Nonsense

Submitted by Doug Anderson (United States), May 23, 2005 at 17:12

I think more than any other article I have received from Daniel Pipes, this article has rattled me the most. The big media operations have really given up on investigative reporting. The omissions that Dr. Pipes lists here are nearly beyond belief. These big media operators must live in horrible fear of giving aid and comfort to the War on Terror.

Here is what really bothers me about big media's lack of curiosity. In any industry or craft the young people just entering the ranks will usually light fires under the comfy elders to keep things boiling. In journalism there are so many areas of exploration and investigation waiting for young reporters to sink their teeth into. Where are those young turk reporters? This lack of investigative hunger on the part of the big media is downright creepy.
