Completely Preposterous

Reader comment on item: Might the Saudis Blow Up Their Oil Infrastructure?

Submitted by Ronald Monsen (Saudi Arabia), May 13, 2005 at 09:19

That has got to be one of the wackiest ‘conspiracy' stories I have heard in recent years. It is right up there with the moon landing hoax for pure unbelievable fiction.

As an American oil field worker, living and working in Saudi Arabia for 12 years, I can assure everyone that that there is no possibility that the infrastructure necessary to accomplish such a SPECTRE like goal exists. Even if you created a Hollywood movie scenario of Saudi Royals dreaming up this plan, nothing of that nature could go undetected by the thousands of expatriates like myself that are ‘at one' with the day to day operations of the Saudi oil fields.

Please be assured.
