This is an excellent article as far as its factual content is concerned. I disagree with your basic premise. I believe that our "greatest ideological foe" is a highly politicized form of radical Christianity. They are more subversive than the communists of my youth. The communists sought to overthrow our constitutional government by force and violence. The "religious right" (which is neither) is doing it legally, similar to the way that Hitler and his fascists took over in Germany...
