Military crackdown no solution 2

Reader comment on item: Global Ramifications of the Anti-Muslim Brotherhood Campaign in Egypt
in response to reader comment: It is the way

I agree with mr. Suarez. It would be nice, if the military could restore religious tolerance in Egypt. But my point is, it is unlikely to happen. Because the military cannot defeat the brotherhood but only suppress them, and because suppression will earn the brotherhood much goodwill from the islamic majority in Egypt.

Also, I do'nt believe, the military suppression will last for ever. Sooner or later, they will make an agreement with the brotherhood. Then, the brotherhood will be back and conquer the majority of votes. After that Egypt will turn into an islamic state with all its horrors.

The only way to defeat the brotherhood is to give them power within a democratic framework, so they can prove themselbes futile and be expelled by the voters. But that wil never happen, if you replace democracy with a military dictatorship or a fictional democracy, as that, the military is now trying to establish.
