Back during Operation Cast Lead....

I read about a strategy to bring peace in Gaza. It was named by the owner (in a random blog comment) the Toothpaste Tube solution. Israel lays down an ultimatum. Either the terror attacks in all forms stop, or we will send our miltary and starting at the north border advance one mile. Any land taken will be forfeit and the current line will become Gaza's new northern border - if the attacks stop. If the attacks continue, Israel advances another mile. Allow say one week for the terror attacks to be stopped after each advance. One way or another, the problem would be solved in less than half a year. Gaza being 25 miles long.
