Reader comment on item: No News Twenty Years after the Oslo Agreement

I yawn also with regard to the Oslo protocals.

What do you make of the Kerry/Netanyahu love-fest in today's news accounts? And correlatively, Obama's recent: ""We really really really will strike Iran if Iran goes nuclear"'?. With Obama as president I go through days where I find myself in a bad third-rate movie. I am one of millions of pawns whose lives are and will be radically affected by a narcissistic clown who lusts for American weakness.

Bottom line: When the time comes will the Israelis have to do it by themselves? CAN!!! they do it without the bunker-busting bombs which Obama has been holding back from the Israelis? In the absence of those bunker-busters will Israel have to virtually carpet bomb a great deal of Iranian territories in order to close down the electric gird?. Is there any chance at all that that an Israeli attack will be instantly telegraphed to the Iranians by Obama allowing Iran to deploy its missile and air-force defenses to seriously "de-fang" the Israeli strike? If Israel goes "whole hog" so as to save itself from annihilation from Iran, will Israel end up being a "pariah" state with NO allies at all which would invite a annihilation of Israel? Does Natanyahu know what he is doing?

I guess, Mr. Pipes, I am asking if their are any adults left in such world affairs? Send in the Clowns with Putin walking with a leash around Obman's neck. Bottom line: are you optimistic about these things or pessimistic? Or are you SO pessimistic that you realize that it would be better to say nothing at all?
