Reader comment on item: Radical Islam's Hypocrisy

Submitted by Harper Ingram (United States), Feb 2, 2005 at 01:20

Haven't you heard..?? The Bill of Rights doesn't exist anymore. Apparently you haven't read your copy of the USA Patriot Act of 2001. You know, that piece of legislation written by Capt. Vague and Dr. Latitude. Passed under the guise of protecting the citizens of the United States from the threat of terrorism, it will likely be used against populace, rather than to defend it.

While Mr. Ehrgott may have been exercising his First Amendment right to free speech, let's be honest, any reasonable person would agree that his words could easily be construed as threatening. And more importantly, because he did it via email it may be characterized as a terrorist act under the USA Patriot Act, if I'm not mistaken.

Wake up America, it's 1984.
