Reader comment on item: Impressions of the Veep Debate

Submitted by w june (United States), Oct 12, 2012 at 13:56

My God My God, I am so sick of political debaters trying to be "cute" at the expense of the people who are worried to the max about their status in this world. I do not want to see/hear clown cracks or see a contender to be a world leader biting his bottom lip trying to be sexy appealing to the superficial ego of the goofy. This is serious being a matter of life and death in America and all Continents. The debating skills may be a personality game to them but to the people of the world it is not the least bit funny. It is not funny to see America's military and ambassadors murdered and drug down the street. Nor is it funny to know there is the potential to be put in a retraining camp just because they do not like the look on your face. (Gang mentality)

It is not funny to hear all the political leaders make their case on the backs of the poor and poverty stricken people. All the ultra rich politicians taking the liberty to regress to the background of their great grandpa's humble work ethics of their deprivation, their poor beginnings. Some so poor they had to have a tumbleweed for a pet. They are more than ready and happy to be poor then. Yet look where they are now, they say. Give me a break. If it were not for poor people and criminals they would not have a stump to stand on. They are all going to help the poor people and give liberty to all but when it all said and done we are still a world of the poor and liberty is getting less and less all over the world. More and more control of the masses and more and more liberty for the ultra rich governments. What a deal we have for you, they say.

We the people trusted the powers that be to do for us what we could not do for ourself.. That is what we thought we were voting for but the fruit of a greedy power hungry is at the ready and on the table for us to eat.

My only hope is the natural law of things ultimately find it's balance not just for America but all Continents. You can rest assured when the political smoke clears the powers that be will know you can control some of the people some of the time. Some of the people all the time but you will never be able to control all the people all the time. I guess we will go around and around this bitter vineyard until the true gardener appears. For now the leopard is unleashed and we the people will see if you can ride it longer than the grand powers before you. If you are a scholar of history you know your fate and the people will come out of their caves, at the end of the matter.
