Turkish victories post 1700

Ottomans, like the Chinese,were a pre enlightenment empire, both empires decayed due to lack of technological progress.However,starting from 1700 it took 300 years for it to expire,so they were not totally powerless against European powers.They did play one European power against the others did the other powers.Therefore just as it is absurd to say Waterloo was a Prussian victory because the Prussians were England's allies so it is absurd to say Kut etc. were German victories because the Germans were the Ottomans' allies.

To break the monotony of defeats here are some of the Turkish victories post 1700;

1711 Pruth river defeat of Russia

1718 Reconquest of Morea ,defeat of Venice

1739 Belgrade retaken Austria defeated

1739 Russians forced to hand back Azov

1812 Russians forced to withdraw

1853 Crimean war,Russian defeat

1897 Victory over Greece
