PMU reactionary?

Reader comment on item: [The Boim Trial:] Exploiting the Koran to Terrorize

Submitted by Bujevac (Malaysia), Dec 16, 2004 at 21:25

Dr. Pipes,

This is the second time you have indicated that you consider the PMU a rectionary organization. However, you have offered no proof of this statement. Even a cursory review of their website indicates that PMU voices some of the most revolutionary/unorthodox and anti-wahabbi views in the Muslim world. Many of the authors have espoused similair views to yours on matters of Islamic reform and terrorism. Your disagreement seems to be that they are so called leftist (whatever that might mean) and you judge them accordingly. It is time to move beyond labels and let's look at the substance.

I provide the case against the PMU at http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/361.
