Consistency?

Reader comment on item: Arafat's Last Threat to Israel?

The latest article seems incompatible with my understanding from Mr. Pipes' article just before the election that if Kerry were elected, Israel would face pressure from the United States to comply with Palestinian demands, but that this would not happen under a re-elected President Bush. It seems that those of us who thought that any president in a second term would be more likely to pressure Israel into dangerous concessions were closer to the truth.
