Special relationship?

Reader comment on item: How Special is the U.S.-Israel Relationship?

Submitted by Adam the Scot. (United Kingdom), Mar 28, 2010 at 11:21

The American/ Israeli relationship is only as "special" as the American/ British relationship. In both, the Americans attempt to impose their will on the so called "friends". America presents itself as the world policeman but is only interested in intervention where it suits their own needs. I don't see America sending troops into Zimbabwe, where a tyrant far worse than any in existence, but then again there is no oil interest in Zimbabwe. America are the schoolyard bully, only out for it's own ends. At least be bloody honest about it.
