Fear and terror

Reader comment on item: Dr. Daniel Pipes of the Middle East Forum discusses the reluctance of the media to call Islamic perpetrators of terror "

Submitted by Judd (United States), Sep 20, 2004 at 16:00

Dr. Pipes,
You comment that we're not really afraid. Doesn't that imply that the terror is ineffective?

Not to minimize the tragedy of personal loss, but even their most dramatic "great blow," has had only the most minor affect on life in the US.

Contemplating the action required to attract our attention is sobering.
