Reader comment on item: How Elijah Muhammad Won
in response to reader comment: What no one else has done

Submitted by What? (United States), Dec 14, 2009 at 04:28

I have heard over and over "no man has done more for black people that Elijah Muhammad and Louis Farrakhan". No one as yet to explain what this "more for black people" is. Most black people are not followers of the NOI. Almost all black people have what they have through their own efforts, a great majority work at businesses and coporations owned by whites, attend public schools, pay their own rent/mortages, buy their own clothes and food, and bury their own dead. The majority have never heard either of these men speak or read their works. So what is they have done for blacks? And please stop repeating that asinine line about the black man and woman are the dumb and blind and resurrected through these men. You make yourself sound stupid. The people who were stuck in the ghettos in the 1930's are mostly still there in generational poverty, while their religious leaders live in luxury.
