Reagan did NOT understand terrorists

Reader comment on item: Reagan's Early Victory in the War on Terror

Submitted by Howard Veit (United States), Jun 15, 2004 at 12:07

Iran-Contra, where Reagan sold arms to Iran for the release of hostages held by pro-Iran terrorists in Lebanon so he could "influence Iranian Moderates" shows how out to lunch they were too. Does anyone doubt that the "Iranian Moderates" were the ones who leaked the story to the Lebanon press?

Reagan and everybody else mis-read everything.
