Reader comment on item: The Rochester Institute of Technology and My Unwillingness to Be "Balanced" at Campus Talks

Submitted by yasemin (Canada), Aug 11, 2008 at 16:36

Dear Mr. Pipes:

I contribute regularly to your advice to women's forum. I noticed recently that the MSA at my university campus in western Canada was hosting a symposium and looked up the speaker list. One speaker, Said Rageah, comes from the islamic centre in Maryland that was investigated post 9/11 and now lives in Canada thanks to canada's lax immigration system. The other is a well-known anti-semitic.

I alerted all the right people but i doubt if anyone kept an eye on things. I wonder how these msa clubs can be allowed to continue to exist on campuses, given that the charities they support are known fronts. Please explain how this is possible.

I also need to know how can i obtain a list of the "charities" supported by this msa to show the university board of directors or will this be useless ? I don;t know politics but i want this club ousted.
