Reader comment on item: Democrats Unlearn 9/11

Submitted by S.C.Panda (India), Jan 14, 2004 at 04:40

Dear Prof Pipes,
There is a striking similarity the way politicians speak in liberal democracies. After the terrorists' attack on the Indian Parliament in Dec.2001, there is lot of bon homie between India and Pakistan under the aegis of SAARC meeting at Islamabad. I agree with your view that terrorism has to be tackled by Army and the police may take a supporting role. The view expressed by some Democratic Party leaders betrays ignorance or mis-placed idealism.
Regards, Sincerely, S.C.Panda
