Laurie Mylroie and the FactsReader comment on item: Laurie Mylroie's Shoddy, Loopy, Zany Theories – Exposed Submitted by Jonny (United States), Jun 25, 2008 at 07:23 Well, wouldn't you know it, but today MSNBC is saying that there was a pre-war Iraq/al-Queda link including traces of ricin and other biological weapons. Dr. Pipes, I met Laurie over 10 years ago just after the first Gulf War through David Wurmser. As the Iraqi dictator was disregarding UNSC resolutions one after the other, it became clear that Dr. Mylroie was becoming less dependent on hard facts. As you mentioned, her lack of proof for many of her claims detracted from the war effort. I have to commend you on your ability to follow factual information despite the good intentions of other professionals and researchers in your field. Keep up the good work, and never let opinion cloud your thinking. The fight against terrorism, unfortunately, involves making a good case and public opinion. Meanwhile, as the hundreds of terror networks around the world move money and arms using clandestine bank accounts and state sponsored transportation. Whether it is a North Korean nuclear facilitiy in Syria, the latest Iranian or Russian missile technology transported into Lebanon or Gaza, or Iranian nuclear enrichment, we all need to know the facts and the implications. We don't want another 9-11 or worse. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3070394/
