Reader comment on item: Vanquishing the Islamist Enemy

Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Mar 18, 2008 at 14:31

I was impressed with the maturity of the audience during this lecture at Furman, as opposed to the disruptive and juvenile response at Wayne State in October of last year.

Dr. Pipes' logical and sensibly articulated arguments against radical Islam are a breath of fresh air in an era of mealy-mouth Islamic apologists. That his views are considered controversial is almost hard to credit; more people need to be aware of the threat of radical Islam and what it can do to a society; having lived in Indonesia and Egypt I can attest to the growth of radical Islam and the dangers thereof.

I agree with Daniel Pipes that to be against Shari'a is to be for the "defense of our civilisation." Long may he be heard!
