Bennett's Logic, or Why Spock Puked

Reader comment on item: Is the Solution to Hire More Muslim Journalists?

Submitted by Azamin Ippish (United States), Mar 10, 2008 at 10:25

I LOVE Bennet's logic. Its import of assuming a person born to Muslim parents will automatically make a sensitive, knowledgeable, objective interpreter is that the abysmal ignorance of Judaism I witnessed through 20 years as a Hebrew school teacher was all a big misperception on my part. How reassuring! Every reporter, actor, and politician with a Jewish mother is actually well versed in the classical sources of my culture and and ardent Zionist! I feel SO much better!
