Islamic Holy Places

You note that not too many Jews are interested in "tearing down Islamic Holy Places", to the consternation of some Christians, but, is it really necessary to tear down the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock to build a Temple?It seems that directly in front of the Eastern Gate there is room that would leave the Islamic "Holy Places" undisturbed.
